The hardware is labeled extremely well and easy to identify. The instructions are about the most clear I have ever used.

The backlit display is very easy to read. There are preprogrammed routines or you can program it manually if desired.

It is very stable (I weigh about 200 lbs)

It doesn't take a lot of room and doesn't weigh a lot... about 106 lbs, and is easy to move around.

It is easy to adjust the pedaling distance to get a tighter angle on my knees if desired.

The seat could use a little more padding, though. It's a little hard.

The seat back, however, is very comfortable and provides great lumbar support.

It comes with a fan on top of the computer display, which I think is kind of useless unless you keep your exercise room really hot.

I received, via UPS, this product in a carton that had gaping holes in the side and it is a miracle that no parts were missing. The bike generally very well built but, as others have noted, the fan does not work. I have emailed Nautilus tech support/customer service five times over a week's time and have received no response so I'll try the telephone next. Assembly was straightforward except for the fact that the rear stablizer shape did not mirror the curve in the mainframe and it took me what seemed like forever to get the bolts seated in the mainframe holes. All bolts/nuts, etc. were nicely sealed in shrink wrap and labeled. I have used several programs that functioned properly. A shortcoming others have noted is that a separate power adaptor must be connected externally to the bike. In addition, the computer will accept only one user profile which is a drawback. For me, this would be an absolute do-not buy. I will say this about it: I only have one problem with it. It's easy to assemble, it works well, etc.

But it beeps. Over, and over, and over, and over again. Every minute, on the minute, it beeps loudly at you. There's no way to turn it off. There's no way to disconnect it. You can't mute the sound, or lower the volume. I called customer service and they blew me off. It's loud enough that even with music turned on in my headphones, I keep hearing it. Every single time the timer passes another minute, it's going to make that loud beep at you. I have no clue why someone would decide to install a feature like this, or what possible purpose it could have, or why they would ever think a customer would want it. If you work out for forty minutes, you will be beeped at forty times. I bought this because I wanted to read while working out, and it's frankly too annoying for me to use it like that. Very quiet operation and good ergonomics. Delivery was fast and assembly was about 1 1/2 hrs. The only problem was the fan did not work. I called manufacturer which sent me a replacement fan and still didn't work. I think the computer is flawed and now need to have it replaced.

Purchased this bike in November. When it arrived there was "some assembly required". After a few hours, it was assembled and ready for use. The seat was very comfortable and the bike was very quiet. The fan was pretty much useless as it didn't push enough air to make it worth while and it was quite noisy. Other than that, I really liked this bike....until it broke. One week after I received the bike I got on it in the morning and started to peddle only to hear a grinding noise coming from the flywheel. After researching this online, I discovered that this is a fairly common thing with this model. I contacted Amazon to request return information and they were extremely helpful and accommodating. They paid for the return shipping too! The only thing was that I had to disassemble the whole thing and make it fit back into the original box (which we did accomplish after much trial and error). The return went very smoothly and Amazon deserves a big thank you for their help with the return process. I went out the day after I sent this bike back and bought a Lifecore 1000rb at a local fitness store. It fits much better in my living room (it's noted for it's compact size), is even quieter than the Schwinn and the seat is extremely comfortable (the only down side is that it cost almost 3 times the price of the Schwinn.) Actually a lot of assembly. The good news is that the instructions are very clear, tools are provided, and the hardware is laid out with each item carefully identified.

Once you get it together and start using it you will find that the operation is very smooth and quiet. It is comfortable, easy to adjust, and very stable. It does creak a bit if you peddle at a cadence over 85 or so but you can notch up the resistance and that will slow you down.

The controls are very easy to use. It asks for a lot of information when you start to use one of the built in programs but if you use the same program over again it remembers your input so you just have to press enter unless you need to change the value.

The built in fan is a nice addition. After you get heated up from exercising you might want it to blow harder than it does.
