Schwinn 231 Recumbent Exercise Bike Right now

I have had the bike for about 1 month. Assembly was fairly straight-forward. I did drop a washer down into the front housing and haven't found it yet. Otherwise it took about 2 hours.

The bike is whisper quiet and smooth pedaling. It is great for sitting in front of the TV and keeping active. There is no bike noise to interfere with the TV sound. (The fan is noisy and weak and I don't usually use it) The pedaling is natural and the shift between "gears" is smooth. You could read while on the bike with little difficulty. I wish there was some way to shut off the "beep" every time it advances a step in the program but it is not that loud.

The programs are good. I like the cross-training and ramp programs. The recovery function is a nice addition. I haven't really done the fitness test or other add-ins. You can get a really good work-out with this bike. I can get my heart rate to about 80-90% maximum.

I would buy this bike again. It has a lot of nice features you would expect to pay more for. I though it might be flimsy but it is quite solid and sturdy.Get more detail about Schwinn 231 Recumbent Exercise Bike.
